A quick post to note that orders are now being accepted for the Reunion Class / Group Photo taken during the dinner dance. Also available are two separate CD offerings that include (1) photos taken during the dinner dance and picnic and (2) ‘Class of ’71 Memories” that provides quite a step back in time to when we were students.

It’s been about 10 days since the reunion and we had such a great time that many of us are still catching our breath!
We had a great turn out of approximately 120 attendees, including classmates and their guests as well as 8 (?) of our former teachers from Williams, Glenbrook and MDHS. From the time the reunion committee members began set-up in the early afternoon until the DJ played the last tune of the night, the hall was filled with non-stop chatter, laughter, handshakes, hugs and smiles … it really was a wonderful evening! In fact, most people seem to feel there just wasn’t enough time to visit and catch up with everyone they wanted to re-connect with.
And although the Hilton was in a “refresh” construction mode, it was barely noticeable to our party-goers. The Hilton put on an excellent and very tasty buffet that was enjoyed by everyone … salad, veggies, main courses and desserts were wonderful, as was the quality of the service we received from Hilton staffers.
The picnic @ Paula Miller Cobbett’s home the next day was equally as wonderful and provided more time to catch up with one another in more detail. Thanks, Paula!
Thinking back to the reunion, I believeTom Butler summed up the feelings of many attendees best of all when he said, “When did everyone get so nice?”.
A great time was had by all and, I’m betting, most are looking forward to the 45th! (Stay tuned for details as they emerge over time 
A quick post to note that we’ve got ~120 attendees currently scheduled to attend our dinner dance tonight. In addition to classmates and their family / friend guests, 10 of our attendees are our former teachers, including a couple from elementary and intermediate school. We will be posting “this just in” pics (and perhaps some video snippets) from the reunion on the class Facebook page, so if you’re interested in what’s happening as it’s happening, check out FB later this evening.
Tomorrow is the class picnic @ Paula’s house and because it’s a no-registration event, it’s unclear how many people will attend; we expect another well-attended event but a couple more (you and your guests) would make it even better!
As you can imagine, LOTS of effort has gone in to making this another great reunion, so have a great time and we’ll see you there!
Pat Jenkins Weisel has recently created an MDHS 71 Facebook group and as of today, we have 80 classmates / members. The conversations have been rapid-fire and wide-ranging – lots of fun reliving old memories and catching up with one another on our lives today. (Guess which female class member got a 100mph speeding ticket! I’m not talkin’, Deb

Reunion invitations were labeled, sealed and stamped this past Saturday during a reunion committee meeting / lunch. They were mailed soon after and reservations have already started coming in.
